For the Columbia Skating Club’s performance of The Nutcracker on Ice, they sought a Clara Party Scene dress that would be both elegant and functional for the ice. To better suit the demands of an ice performance, we modified the dress’s back closure to feature only buttons, removing any extra fastenings that could interfere with movement. This subtle yet effective change ensured a secure yet comfortable fit, allowing the skater to glide effortlessly while maintaining a polished, classic look.

Our designers, and yes we are designers, or we like to say, elves in a sewing studio, REALLY ENJOY really enjoy working with our clients, whether it is a ballet company or an individual who just got cast. One thing that does help us if you are a ballet school would be to also send an image of your backdrop so we can do our best to match the dancer's costumes to your stage.
