Lipstick Pink and Mosaic Blue Nutcracker On Ice Dress

For the Columbia Skating Club’s dazzling performance of The Nutcracker on Ice, Pegeen was honored to create a special version of Style 701, tailored specifically for the show's unique setting and visual flair. This particular dress became part of our Nutcracker Collection, designed for the iconic Clara Party Scene, where elegance, motion, and stage presence all come together.

This custom piece featured a vibrant color pairing of Lipstick Pink and Mosaic Blue, creating a lively and theatrical contrast that stood out beautifully under stage lights—and even more strikingly on ice. The bold Lipstick Pink brought in an energetic flair, while the cool Mosaic Blue grounded the look, balancing the vibrancy with poise and polish.

In response to the customer’s vision and performance needs, we modified the original design to include a button-only closure on the back, simplifying the dress for quick costume changes and enhancing the clean, classic silhouette. The absence of a sash or tie kept the focus on the movement and structure of the dress, which was ideal for a skating performance.

As with all our Clara Party Scene Dresses, this design was tailored to reflect a sense of youthful grace and festive charm, while also being practical for the demands of a live production. The fabric choices, color contrasts, and attention to movement were all crafted with the performance in mind, ensuring the dress looked as magical in motion as it did in stillness.
