This dress was based on Style 703 and made in Hazel Green with a Blue Indigo silk sash. It was a beautiful combination for a Nutcracker Costume because the colors were rich enough to stand out on stage, but they still had the traditional look needed for the Party Scene. Hazel Green gave the dress a warm, unusual base color, while the Blue Indigo sash added a deeper contrast at the waist.

Hazel Green is not a color we see every day, which is part of what made this dress so special. It has more warmth than a brighter green and does not look overly bold under stage lighting. The shade gave Style 703 an elegant, slightly old-fashioned feeling that worked very well for The Nutcracker Ballet.
