This custom Nutcracker costume was inspired by our popular style 708, chosen by a customer for their Clara in the party scene. The dress features a rich Brown Oak silk for the base, which added warmth and depth to the stage presentation. This color is one of our deeper, more traditional tones and was selected to reflect a classic Victorian look.

To accent the earthy brown base, the customer chose a Cadet Blue sash. This cooler tone gave the costume a lovely contrast and helped frame the silhouette with a soft, period-appropriate elegance. The sash was tied in our traditional back bow, complementing the full skirt and adding movement during stage performance.

Our designers, and yes we are designers, or we like to say, elves in a sewing studio, REALLY ENJOY really enjoy working with our clients, whether it is a ballet company or an individual who just got cast. One thing that does help us if you are a ballet school would be to also send an image of your backdrop so we can do our best to match the dancer's costumes to your stage.
