Tiffany and teal Nutcracker Party Scene Dress
Tiffany Blue and Teal Nutcracker Costume Style 724
This dress was based on Nutcracker Costume Style 724 and made for a performance of The Nutcracker. The customer chose Tiffany Blue for the base color and Mosaic Teal for the sash. The two shades worked beautifully together and gave the costume a cool, elegant look that felt especially appropriate for a production.
Tiffany Blue was a lovely choice for Style 724 because it is soft enough for a young dancer while still having enough color to be seen clearly from the audience. Under stage lighting, the blue would have given the dress a fresh, polished look without appearing too pale. It also fit naturally with the wintry feeling of The Nutcracker.

The Mosaic Teal sash added a deeper accent at the waist and helped define the shape of the dress. Because the sash stayed within the same blue-green color family, it coordinated easily with Tiffany Blue while still providing enough contrast to make the costume more interesting. Sometimes two related colors create a more finished look than a much stronger contrast would.
Style 724 is part of our Nutcracker Collection for the Clara Party Scene Dresses. It has the traditional feeling needed for the opening scene, where the children should look as though they are attending an elegant Christmas gathering. The style worked just as well for a skating production, where the dress needed to look beautiful while the performer moved across the stage.
A costume for The Nutcracker has to be seen from many different angles. As the dancer glides, turns, and moves through the Party Scene, the dress becomes part of the performance. The Tiffany Blue silk and Mosaic Teal sash gave this costume enough depth and contrast to show well without making the design look too heavy.
This order is also a good example of how choosing different silk colors can give an established Nutcracker style its own personality. The customer did not need to make major changes to Style 724. The combination of Tiffany Blue and Mosaic Teal was enough to create a custom look that suited this particular performance.
The finished Style 724 costume had the traditional charm of a Clara Party Scene Dress with colors that felt especially right for The Nutcracker. Tiffany Blue gave the dress its soft, wintry base, while the Mosaic Teal sash added definition and richness. There were no additional charges for this Nutcracker Costume.
