The Nutcracker ballet has been enchanting audiences for more than a century, and each year it continues to evolve through fresh interpretations, bold productions, and, most importantly, imaginative costuming. At Pegeen, designing Nutcracker costumes is not just part of what we do—it’s at the very heart of our creative expression. For the 2025 season, we couldn’t help ourselves. The sketches kept flowing, the fabric swatches kept piling up, and the ideas simply wouldn’t stop. Before we knew it, four breathtaking new costumes had come to life: the commanding Mouse King, the valiant Nutcracker, the ethereal Snow Queen, and the vibrant Waltz of the Flowers ensemble.
