A Colorado wedding highlight the Aspen trees
Anytime I can revisit a wedding in Colorado, my Alma-Matter state, the better. This gorgeous mountain wedding had featured silk flower girl dresses in Aspen.
We truly thought the contrast against the yellowing aspen trees was not only startling but breathtaking as well. When I was in college and graduate school, I frequented the mountains in Aspen, mostly for skiing but one fall I was able to witness this beautiful change of colors. It was during the mating season and I will say I was terrified the entire time but that is another story.

The bride chose three different styles for each of the girls. She used style 402 in antique white for the 5 year old "flower girl" in antique white silk with ten layers of tulle and a black silk sash that ties in the back. For the two babies, she chose style 326, a silk base dress in antique white with a double layer of white organza and a black silk pleaated sash. For her two Jr. Bridesmaids, she decided to mix it up a bit, choosing a white organza style 313 with silver gray silk base and a black silk bustle, trimming the complete look with hand made, hand rolled real silk flowers in gray.
